In this procedure, the provider performs transesophageal echocardiography, TEE, with multiple transducers or a rotating transducer to obtain a two dimensional, 2D, image for visualization of the heart for any congenital problems. The TEE test provides a close look at the heart's valves and chambers to assess the overall function of the heart’s valves and chambers and determine the presence of many types of heart disease.
