Code 92018 describes examination and evaluation of the eye while the patient is asleep under general anesthesia. The exam may include not only evaluation of the internal structure of the eye, but tests the eyeball's ability to move either passively or with manipulation of the eyeball directly by the physician (for example, by pulling on the individual muscles controlling movement of the eye).
