The provider revises a previously performed stapedectomy or stapedotomy to correct a fixated stapes bone. This procedure can involve separation of the stapes and incus, drilling of the footplate, or manipulation and or replacement of the stapes prosthesis. Once completed, the procedure reestablishes ossicular continuity, increases mobility of the stapes, and improves hearing.
