In this add on procedure, the provider repairs another herniated cervical disc. The herniation of a cervical disc is one of the most common causes of cervical pain, called cervicalgia, or neck pain. The provider decompresses the nerve roots or spinal cord by removing all or a portion of the herniated disc. He uses grafts to fill the empty space created by removing the disc.
