The provider removes the fallopian tube or ovary, or both, to treat an ectopic pregnancy. There may be a large fetus imbedded around the ovary or in the fallopian tube or an ectopic pregnancy may have already ruptured the fallopian tube. In either circumstance, the provider determines that he must remove the fallopian tube or ovary or both. The provider performs this procedure abdominally or vaginally.
