In this procedure, the provider surgically removes the uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, and ovaries using a vaginal approach, known as a vaginal hysterectomy. Because the patient has small bowel prolapsing into the vaginal canal, called an enterocele, he also repairs this area. The uterus is normal in size, which means it weighs 250 g or less.
