In this procedure, the provider uses an endoscope, to destroy tissue of the atria of the heart and to reconstruct the left and right atrium, or the chambers at the top of the heart that receive the blood returning from the veins. This procedure treats atrial fibrillation and aims to restore the normal rhythm of the heart. The provider performs this procedure without cardiopulmonary bypass.
