In this procedure, the provider performs rigid or flexible bronchoscopy to view airways during a procedure. He may or may not use fluoroscopic guidance. He dilates the stenosis, or narrowing, of the trachea or bronchi using techniques like balloon dilatation. He may treat tracheobronchial fracture, a tear or break that occurs in the airways, leading to obstruction or narrowing.
