This is a Proprietary Laboratory Analyses (PLA) code, meaning that the code applies to only one unique lab test made by a specific manufacturer or performed by a specific lab. Report 0261U only for Immunoscore®, from HalioDx, on a formalin–fixed paraffin–embedded (FFPE) colon cancer tissue specimen. The test uses digital assessment of CD3 and CD8, which indicate immune response to the tumor, to report a score for immune response and a score for risk–of–recurrence as high or low. Clinicians may order the test for patients with localized colon cancer to guide treatment.
