Question: My urologist documented that he performed a “transrectal seminal vesical aspiration.” How should I report this procedure?

Answer: You should consider 10021 (Fine needle aspiration; without imaging guidance) or 10022 (... with imaging guidance), depending on your urologist’s documentation. If you report 10022, you should also report 76942 (Ultrasonic guidance for needle placement [eg, biopsy, aspiration, injection, localization device], imaging supervision and interpretation) for the imaging guidance.
