Question: My provider said in the op note that they aspirated out a portion of the bladder tumor as well as bladder washings during the cystoscopy. What code should I report on my claim? Don’t miss: A cystourethroscopy is a common diagnostic procedure for conditions ranging from urinary tract infections and stress incontinence to the follow-up of bladder cancer treatment. It can take as little as 5-10 minutes of surgical time for your provider to complete this procedure. The bladder washings are included in the cystoscopic examination.
