Minnesota Subscriber Answer: First, determine whether the urologist performed a cystoscopy and placed a ureteral stent during the encounter. Then report either 50947 (Laparoscopy, surgical; ureteroneocystostomy with cystoscopy and ureteral stent placement) or 50948 (... ureteroneocystostomy without cystoscopy and ureteral stent placement), depending on the answer to that question. The robotic assistance is included in either code and, therefore, not reported separately.
