Question: Can a PA read and interrupt a test such as a uroflow and PVR and be paid for it? If so is she compensated at the same level as the MD?

Answer: Whether you can bill for the physician assistant (PA) reading and interpretation of these tests, depends on the payer’s supervision rules and policies. If the payer allows, a PA may read and interpret a uroflow (51741, Complex uroflowmetry [eg, calibrated electronic equipment]) and a post void residual (PVR, 51798, Measurement of post-voiding residual urine and/or bladder capacity by ultrasound, non-imaging).
Reminder: Keep in mind, however, if you are billing in the name and numbers of the PA, payments usually will be made at 85 percent of the global fee.
