Two additions might come in handy for your practice.

Final changes for HCPCS 2018 have been announced, with two new codes urology practices could be glad to see. They are:

• C9738 – Adjunctive blue light cystoscopy with fluorescent imaging agent (list separately in addition to code for primary procedure)
• C9748 – Transurethral destruction of prostate tissue; by radiofrequency water vapor (steam) thermal therapy.

The announcement included a total of 218 new, revised, and deleted HCPCS codes. All changes will be effective Jan. 1, 2018.
