2018 Code Changes:

Watch for These New HCPCS Codes

Two additions might come in handy for your practice.

Final changes for HCPCS 2018 have been announced, with two new codes urology practices could be glad to see. They are:

C9738 – Adjunctive blue light cystoscopy with fluorescent imaging agent (list separately in addition to code for primary procedure)
C9748 – Transurethral destruction of prostate tissue; by radiofrequency water vapor (steam) thermal therapy.

The announcement included a total of 218 new, revised, and deleted HCPCS codes. All changes will be effective Jan. 1, 2018.
