On July 5, 2022, Mercy Health – Springfield announced its partnership with Viz.ai to harness the power of AI to improve the way Mercy Health can provide stroke care to patients and the community. The cloud-based AI system alerts neurovascular specialists of a possible stroke. By detecting the suspected stroke earlier, providers can treat and minimize the impact of the condition — even the strokes that are the most devastating. With the new technology, providers can review imaging earlier and collaborate easily. Plus, care teams can use a mobile interface to analyze scans and determine a fitting course of treatment. By synchronizing in real time with the entire care team, the AI technology could help save time in the triage, diagnosis, and treatment stages, which would allow the patient to see the right doctor at the right time.
