Question: Our physician performed the radiological supervision and interpretation (RS&I) during an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Is there a code for this service?

Answer: Radiologists frequently perform RS&I when gastroenterologists perform ERCP surgeries (43260-43272). You should select the most appropriate of the following three codes to describe the radiologist's work depending on the radiologist's documentation:
 
  •   74328 Endoscopic catheterization of the biliary ductal system, radiological supervision and interpretation
     
  •   74329 Endoscopic catheterization of the pancreatic ductal system, radiological supervision and interpretation
     
  •   74330 Combined endoscopic catheterization of the biliary and pancreatic ductal systems, radiologicalsupervision and interpretation.
