Target 75880 for Orbital Venogram

Question: In a patient with head trauma, our physician obtained imaging after injecting contrast into one of the orbital veins. How can we report this procedure?

Answer: Your physician seems to have attempted an orbital venography. For orbital venography, submit code 75880 (Venography, orbital, radiological supervision and interpretation).

Orbital venography: In this procedure, your physician will examine the orbital veins by introducing contrast through the frontal veins or one of its branches. This procedure will enable your radiologist to view the cavernous sinuses and measure the sellar width. This will help to assess the extent of damage during trauma.
