End Edit Confusion With This Straightforward NCCI 11.3 Chart

Ease into the latest National Correct Coding Initiative edits that affect you most with our handy chart.

Pay special attention to the 76375 (Coronal, sagittal, multiplanar, oblique, 3-dimensional and/or holographic reconstruction of computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, or other tomographic modality) edits to prevent denials for this often over-used code.

Note: If you report a column 2 code with its corresponding column 1 code, payers that adopt NCCI Edits will only pay for the column 1 code. The modifier indicator lets you know if--in the appropriate circumstances--you may break the bundle. A “0” tells you not to break the bundle. A “1” means you can override the edit. Just be sure you have documentation to back up your decision.
