Don't forget: Use the appropriate modifiers to report bilateral services, such as modifier 59 (Distinct procedural service) or modifier 50 (Bilateral procedure), depending on payer policy. And if the physician also performs iliac atherectomy, also report 0238T (Transluminal peripheral atherectomy, open or percutaneous, including radiological supervision and interpretation; iliac artery, each vessel).
