NCCI Update:

Pulmonology Practices Escape NCCI 10.3 Edits

October 2004 marks the initiation of the National Correct Coding Initiative version 10.3 edits, but this round does not include any edits that will affect pulmonology practices.

These edits include several new bundles for fluoroscopic guidance and needle placement that will hit codes for cardiovascular surgery; biliary tract surgery; abdomen, peritoneum and omentum surgery; kidney surgery; bladder surgery; female genital system surgery; maternity; and spinal surgery.
