Question: I know ICD-10 and CPT® codes are updated annually; when should I look to order new books for my coding team? Delaware Subscriber Answer: The codes for 2020 were recently released and go into effect soon. ICD-10 codes for 2020 should be used starting Oct. 1, 2019. CPT® codes for 2020 should be used starting Jan. 1, 2020. You can pre-order the 2020 books for these codes now.
