Question: My physician performed an llionguinal nerve block with Phenol. How should I report this? Kansas Subscriber
Answer: Physicians use Phenol as the chemical means for a destructive procedure, not for a block. Therefore, you should report 64640 (Destruction by neurolytic agent, other peripheral nerve or branch).
