OAKLAND, N.J. -- If you're a home health physical therapist, lucky for you, your hourly rates are on the rise.
According to the 2006-2007 HOMECARE Salary and Benefits Report, published by Hospital and Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS), the national median hourly rate of home health physical therapists increased 3.24 percent to $32.54.
"Comparatively, hospital physical therapists earned $20.81 per hour, while nursing home physical therapists earned $33 per hour," said the HCS press release.
The report also indicated that PT turnover rate increased from 14.9 percent in 2005 to 18.53 percent in 2006.
HCS conducts the report with the National Association for Homecare and Hospice (NAHC), with 1,311 home care agencies and hospices participating in the study
