Plus: Physical therapist pleads guilty to submitting false claims--to the tune of nearly $12 million. You've got your system ready to convert over to CMS form 5010 compliance, but you aren't sure whether you've transitioned properly. You don't have to wait until the required 5010 compliance date of Jan. 1, 2012 to find out if you've configured your system properly--instead, you can participate in the national 5010 form test date that your MAC will be hosting on June 15. To participate, register with your MAC and then prepare a sample claim to submit. Once you send in that claim on June 15, you'll either hear that the claim processed properly or that your claim included errors--if errors are found, the MAC will alert you of which specific problems your claim included, said Christine Stahlecker during a May 17 CMS open door forum. To get more information on the June 15 test day and other 5010 form issues, visit the CMS Web site at www.cms.gov/Versions5010andD0/.
