Answer: If the diagnosis is follicular lymphoma, the correct ICD-9 code will be 202.00 (Nodular lymphoma unspecified site, extranodal and solid organ sites) for unspecified site. This code requires a fifth digit for the site. You should ascertain from your provider that the indication is follicular lymphoma and also know the specific site. These need to be documented for proper billing.
