What Is Meniere’s Disease?

Meniere’s disease is an inner ear disorder that causes spontaneous episodes of vertigo, fluctuating hearing loss, tinnitus, and possibly a feeling of fullness or pressure in the ear. The condition can occur at any time, but is most common in patients in their 40s and 50s, and is more prominent in women than men. Meniere’s disease affects only one ear.
