Answer: Yes, you can bill 69801 (Labyrinthotomy, with perfusion of vestibuloactive drug[s]; transcanal) and 99213 (Office or other outpatient visit for the evaluation and management of an established patient, which requires at least 2 of these 3 key components …) together, provided you have the medical necessity and documentation to show the procedure was separate from the E/M care. Append a modifier such as 25 (Significant, separately identifiable evaluation and management service by the same physician or other qualified health care professionalon the same day of the procedure or other service) to 99213.
