ICD-10 implementation is coming in 2013 and it's not too early to learn what those changes will mean for your commonly-coded diagnoses. Your coding for posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) patients will change dramatically in 2013, when ICD-10 will become a coding reality. For example, let's say the physician performs PLIF on a patient with lumbar spinal stenosis.
