Do You Have a Doctor/Coder on Staff?

Another approach to making sure physicians and coders are on the same page is to have a physician on staff who takes on the task of "doctor/coder." This physician can meet with the chief billing officer once or twice a month to go over coding problems. Key to success: The doctor/coder should be designated, want to take on the job and have some expertise in coding.
