Substitute these H33.--- codes for the 361.xx ICD-9 codes.
As with many of the diagnosis codes you’re used to using, when the ICD-10 switchover happens, you’ll have to acquaint yourself with a code set that greatly expands upon the current ICD-9 codes for retinal detachment. As we’ve seen with many of the other code series, ICD-10 adds specificity as to which eye is affected.
