Answer: Yes, you may use chemotherapy administration codes 96401-96549 for administration of anti-neoplastic agents used to treat certain non-cancer diagnoses.
Example: Any physician may provide cyclophosphamide for auto-immune conditions and report the administration with the appropriate chemotherapy administration code.
The codes apply to parenteral administration of non-radionuclide anti-neoplastic drugs, monoclonal antibody agents, and other biological response modifiers, as well.
