Question: How can we code for rolapitant? Was there a recent update on coding for this drug? Georgia Subscriber Answer: Medicare added J8670 (Rolapitant, oral, 1 mg) on January 1, 2017 to be used when coding this drug. (The code used prior to this date, Q9981, was deleted on 1/1/17) What is rolapitant? Rolapitant is the generic form of the drug, Varubi, and helps to prevent delayed nausea and vomiting for patients receiving cancer treatment.
