Question: I remember that the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) final rule came out in November. Did the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) make any adjustments to the fee schedule? Answer: Yes — but not by much. On Jan. 5, CMS announced an updated 2023 MPFS conversion factor (CF) of $33.8872. This is an increase from the initial 2023 CF of $33.0607, which was put forth in November’s final rule.
