Workers Compensation Fee Schedule

Question: I have a workers compensation carrier that I dont think paid enough. Where is the best place to find out about reimbursement?

Answer: There are several places to get the most up-to-date information. You can call or write your workers compensation carrier and request a Fee Schedule which they have to provide. Although it may cost money, it is worth paying for because then you can track the allowed amounts and appeal your claims accordingly.

The U.S. Department of Labors Employment Standards Administration oversees workers compensation nationwide. It has a link to every states and the District of Columbias individual Web pages. The sites are administered by the states, so information varies. They include everything from the most minimal information, like addresses and phone numbers of the state office, to Ohios site, which enables medical processionals to enter a code with or without a modifier to find out whether it is covered.
