In a comparatively slow week for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the agency requested comments on a number of information collection efforts including:

• The Medicaid drug rebate form states use to report drug utilization to CMS and drug manufacturers;

• Prospective payments for hospital outpatient services;

•The Medicare managed care disenrollment form;

• Information collection requirements ensuring that insurers in both individual and group markets comply with Title 1 of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act;

• Adjusted Community Rate Proposal Medicare+Choice and plan benefit package;

• The survey of newly eligible Medicare beneficiaries.

And finally, to see whether and how people use their publications, CMS proposes a study of publication use.
