The interest rate for Medicare overpayments and underpayments went up April 28, rising from 10.75 percent to 11.625 percent, according to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services program memorandum AB-03-051 (http:// cms.hhs.gov/manuals/pm_trans/AB03051.pdf). The rate was 13.75 percent at this time last year.
