Interested in MSSPs for 2018? Don't Forget to Submit Your Application by May 31

Medicare Shared Savings Programs (MSSPs) and Medicare Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Track 1+ Models are part of MACRA’s Advanced Alternative Payment Models and are eligible for a higher Medicare incentive payment. But don’t wait too long to file your Notice of Intent to Apply (NOIA) — the deadline is May 31, 2017 for the 2018 applications.

If you are interested in the “Medicare Shared Savings Program, Skilled Nursing Facility 3-Day Rule Waiver, and/or the Medicare Accountable Care Organization Track 1+ Model,” you must send your NOIA in by noon on May 31 in order to be eligible to apply for one of the programs in July. The NOIA is not a binding contract, but must be submitted to show your intent, the CMS guidance suggests.
