Details: On March 25, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the “Resources for Providers in Response to the Change Healthcare Cyberattack.” The new guidance offers links to various health plans providers and hospitals contract with as well as insight on what to do if you’ve been impacted by the cyberattack.
Additionally, the federal collaborators encourage providers to review and implement strategies outlined in HHS’ Healthcare and Public Health (HPH) Cybersecurity Performance Goals. The downloadable goals help from both a compliance and IT standpoint, and they also align with federal regulations.
