If you want to offer your two cents on specific Quality Payment Program (QPP) policies for current or future performance years, Medicare wants your input. Details: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is asking stakeholders to weigh in on future Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) specialty measures sets and current MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs). Here are the two opportunities to give your opinion: 1. If you’re interested in providing feedback on six new 2025 MVPs, you have until Jan. 29. CMS proposed the six MVPs in the CY 2023 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule for the 2025 performance year. Find a description of the MVPs at https://qpp.cms.gov/mips/candidate-feedback and send your feedback to PIMMSMVPSupport@gdit.com.
2. CMS is requesting input on “new specialty measure sets and/or revisions to existing specialty measure sets for the 2025 performance year of MIPS,” the agency said in a QPP alert. “Recommendations for new specialty measure sets or revisions to the 2024 specialty measure sets should be based on the established 2024 MIPS quality measures.” Recommendations must include a “quality measure identifier (ID); measure title; and the rationale and/or documentation that supports inclusion or exclusion of the current quality measure(s) from existing specialty measure sets or inclusion in new specialty measure sets,” CMS advises. You can find files and data to help you create your recommendation related to 2024 MIPS Quality specifications and 2023 MIPS measures under consideration in the QPP Resource Library at https://qpp.cms.gov/resources/resource-library. Submit your recommendations by the Feb. 2 deadline to the Practice Improvement and Measures Management Support (PIMMS) Quality Measures Support mailbox at PIMMSQualityMeasuresSupport@gdit.com.
