CMS Offers 2 New Quality Measures On 'Transfer of Health Information and Care Preferences'

You can get a sneak peek at two more IMPACT Act-required quality measures if you participate in a pilot test of the cross-setting standards. CMS has contracted with RTI and Abt Associates to develop and implement two “Transfer of Health Information and Care Preferences (TOH) quality measures,” CMS said in a message to providers. The measures will eventually apply to all SNFs, IRFs, LTCHs and HHAs.

The deadline to sign up for the current pilot is Jan. 17, although “interest forms received after January 17 are welcome and will be considered for the later testing activities,” CMS said.
