How To Get Your Therapy Billing Questions Answered

Therapy gets new billing Web site from CMS.

If you want to know exactly how to bill Medicare for team therapy, CMS has the exact answer to this question and 10 others.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services recently launched its Medicare Therapy Part B Billing Web site. The site includes links to pertinent CMS manuals, and explains 11 common billing scenarios. CMS developed these explanations with input from the American Physical Therapy Association.

Some topics covered on the site: prohibited CPT code pairs, group therapy versus individual therapy, team therapy, how to count service minutes, supervision requirements and documentation.
