CCI EDITS:

Your Life Could Get Easier With These Deleted Edits

Deleted edits: they're not all bad news.

CCI Version 12.3 doesn't just drop new edits on your head. It also offers relief by taking away some edits that may have been making your life difficult: · Thoracotomy code 32100 is no longer mutually exclusive with biopsy code 32402. Also, 32220 (decortication, pulmonary [separate procedure]; total) is no longer a component of 32100.

· CCI version 9.3 made transhepatic catheter-introduction code 47510 mutually exclusive with injection code 47500, but CCI 12.3 deletes this edit.

· You can now bill biliary-drainage catheter placement code 75982 with biliary drainage code 75980 without using a modifier.

· Basic metabolic panel (80048) is no longer mutually exclusive with electrolyte panel (88051).

· You can start billing xenograft code 15400 with seven autograft codes, including 15050-15100 and three "full-thickness" graft codes.

· Anesthetic injection code 64450 is no longer a component of splint application code 29515 and three strapping codes.
