S. 1385. A bill to amend part A of title IV of the Social Security Act to ensure fair treatment and due process protections under the temporary assistance to needy families program, to facilitate enhanced data collection and reporting requirements under that program, and for other purposes. S. 1403. A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to extend reasonable cost contracts under Medicare. Introduced July 14 by Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) and referred to the Committee on Finance.

S. 1418. A bill to enhance the adoption of a nationwide interoperable health information technology system and to improve the quality and reduce the costs of health care in the United States. H.R. 3202. A bill to amend the Social Security Act to waive the 24-month waiting period for Medicare coverage of certain disabled individuals who have no health insurance coverage. Introduced July 11 by Rep. Robert E. Andrews (D-NJ) and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

H.R. 3204. A bill to amend title XXVII of the Public Health Service Act to extend federal funding for the establishment and operation of state high-risk health insurance Pools. Introduced July 12 by Rep. John Shadegg (R-AZ) and referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.

H.R. 3205. A bill to amend title IX of the Public Health Service Act to provide for the improvement of patient safety and to reduce the incidence of events that adversely affect patient safety, and for other purposes. H.R. 3249. A bill to amend title II of the Social Security Act to eliminate reconsideration as an intervening step between initial benefit entitlement decisions and subsequent hearings on the record on such decisions.
