S. 1329. A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide for a tax credit for offering employer-based health insurance coverage and to provide for the establishment of health insurance purchasing pools. Introduced June 29 by Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN) and referred to the Committee on Finance.

The following bills were introduced in the House:

H.R. 3139. A bill to amend the Public Health Service Act to provide for the public disclosure of charges for certain hospital and ambulatory surgical center services and drugs. Introduced June 30 by Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-IL) and referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.

H.R. 3151. A bill to amend part D of title XVIII of the Social Security Act to remove the exclusion of benzodiazepines from required coverage under the Medicare prescription drug program. Introduced June 30 by Rep. Benjamin L. Cardin (D-MD) and referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.

H.R. 3161. A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for coverage under part B for medically necessary dental procedures. Introduced June 30 by Rep. Michael Ferguson (R-NJ) and referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.
