S. 1225. A bill to expand access to affordable healthcare and to strengthen the healthcare safety net and make healthcare services more available in rural and underserved areas. Introduced June 13 by Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) and referred to the Committee on Finance.

S. 1262. A bill to reduce healthcare costs, improve efficiency and improve healthcare quality through the development of a nationwide interoperable health information technology system, and for other purposes. Introduced June 16 by Sen. Bill Frist (R-TN) and referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.

S. 1264. A bill to provide for the provision by hospitals of emergency contraceptives to women, and post-exposure prophylaxis for sexually transmitted disease to individuals who are survivors of sexual assault. Introduced June 16 by Sen. Jon S. Corzine (D-NJ) and referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.

H.R. 2869. A bill to amend title II of the Social Security Act to phase out the 24-month waiting period for disabled individuals to become eligible for Medicare benefits, to eliminate the waiting period for individuals with life-threatening conditions, and for other purposes. Introduced June 13 by Rep. Gene Green (D-TX) and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means, and to the Committees on Energy and Commerce, and Transportation and Infrastructure, for a period to be subsequently determined by the speaker.

H.R. 2928. A bill to provide for the provision by hospitals of emergency contraceptives to women who are survivors of sexual assault. Introduced June 15 by Rep. Steven Rothman (D-NJ) and referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and to the Committee on Ways and Means for a period to be subsequently determined by the speaker.

H.R. 2935. A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to allow individuals a deduction for qualified long-term care insurance premiums, use of such insurance under cafeteria plans and flexible spending arrangements, and a credit for individuals with long-term care needs. Introduced June 16 by Rep. Susan Davis (D-CA) and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

H.R. 2961. A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to extend and improve protections for sole community hospitals under the Medicare Program. Introduced June 17 by Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR) and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means, and to the Committee on Energy and Commerce for a period to be subsequently determined by the speaker.
