A bill to provide that the actuarial value of the prescription drug benefits of members of Congress under the federal employees health benefits program may not exceed the actuarial value of any prescription drug benefit under the Medicare program. H.R. 2821. A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for direct access to audiologists for Medicare beneficiaries. Introduced July 22 by Rep. Jim Ryun (R-KS), referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce and the Committee on Ways and Means.

H.R. 2904. A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to improve the provision of items and services provided to Medicare beneficiaries residing in rural areas. Introduced July 25 by Rep. H.R. 2980. A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for reimbursement of certified midwife services and to provide for more equitable reimbursement rates for certified nurse-midwife services.
