Question: What items in Section H or other MDS sections count toward Medicare RUG payment for incontinence management?
Answer: Section H (scheduled toileting and/or bladder retraining) counts as one restorative program in Section P3. Restorative nursing (two services provided for 15 minutes each for six or more days over the seven-day lookback) counts toward the resident's placement in low rehab.
Toileting scores in Section G play into the total ADL count, which also drives RUGs placement.
