We have great news for busy nursing professionals who want to earn continuing education credits.
MDS Alert subscribers can earn up to 18 continuing education contact hours a year in nursing. The first quarter of contact hours are free for subscribers. After that, nurses interested in earning contact hours will pay a nominal processing fee.
To obtain the contact hours, subscribers must read the newsletter to successfully answer a short set of test questions based on identified learning objectives published quarterly. Successful participants in the newsletter's continuing education offering will receive a certificate with up to 4.5 contact hours per quarter.
The newsletter will publish the first set of learning objectives and test questions in the March 2006 issue of MDS Alert.
The questions will drawfrom content in the January, February and March 2006 MDS Alert issues. Participants can submit their answers by e-mail or fax.
Eli Research is an accredited approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
We at Eli Research hope this new benefit to your subscription will add even more value to MDS Alert as a premiere source of professional development for nurses and other healthcare professionals in long-term care.
