Predominantly hyperactive-impulsive type – Patient shows signs of hyperactivity and impulsiveness but not signs of inattentiveness. The associated signs and symptoms have been present for a period of more than 6 months and have been significantly causing impairment in performance and behavior;

Predominantly inattentive type – Patient has signs and symptoms of inattention but does not demonstrate signs and symptoms of hyperactivity or impulsiveness. The associated signs and symptoms have been present for more than 6 months, causing behavioral and performance related issues;
