Prepare for over 6,000 new, revised, and deleted codes.

If you check the 2018 ICD-10-PCS page on the CMS.gov website, you’ll find files that contain what you need to do for FY 2018, meaning they are valid from Oct. 1, 2017 through Sept. 30, 2018.

Some highlights you shouldn’t miss are the following:

  • In the Medical and Surgical section, body part values revised or streamlined for clarity and usefulness as coded data
  • Endoscopic approaches added to various tables throughout the system for completeness
  • ICD-10-PCS guidelines updated with new and revised guidelines

Note:  The 2018 General Equivalence Mappings (GEMs) will be posted in August 2017.
